MANILA, July 19 – Eight people were killed and four others injured in a three-vehicle crash in Isabela province in northern Philippines on Saturday, local police said.
Police said the crash occurred before dawn on Saturday along a highway in Aurora, involving a truck and two passenger vans.
Police said the truck crashed into the oncoming vans after it encroached on the opposite lane. The eight fatalities were the driver and seven passengers of a van. One of the four injured was reportedly in a coma.
Police said human error caused the accident and a follow-up investigation was underway.
