2 soldiers, 5 terrorists killed in checkpost attack in SW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Two soldiers and five terrorists were killed in a checkpost attack in Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan province, an army statement said on Tuesday.

The terrorists targeted the security forces checkpost in Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah district of the province, the military media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

A group of terrorists, including suicide bombers, attempted to enter the checkpost, the ISPR said, adding that terrorists rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the wall of the post.

An operation is being carried out to eliminate the presence of other terrorists in the area.
