DAMASCUS — Israeli forces on Thursday conducted airstrikes on two residential neighborhoods in the Syrian capital Damascus, killing four people and causing damage to civilian buildings, Syria’s state TV and a war monitor reported.
The first strike hit an apartment of a three-story residential building in the Mazzeh neighborhood west of Damascus, while the other targeted a residential area in Qudsaya, a suburb northwest of the capital, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Initial reports from the observatory and state TV said that four individuals were killed in Mazzeh. In addition, the airstrikes caused extensive damage to residential buildings and triggered explosions and fires.
