TEHRAN – An Iranian missile struck the heart of Be’er Sheva in southern parts of the occupied territories on Friday morning, bypassing the regime’s air defenses and prompting widespread alarm across the Negev.
A missile launched by Iran struck the southern Israeli-occupied city of Be’er Sheva, marking a significant breach of Israel’s air defense system and triggering alarm sirens across the Negev region and Dead Sea area.
The attack set off air raid sirens in multiple areas, including Be’er Sheva and around the Dead Sea, as panic spread among the Israeli settlers.
Footage published by regional outlets showed a plume of smoke rising from the impact site in Be’er Sheva.
Israeli newspaper Haaretz, citing official sources, acknowledged yet another failure of the regime’s air defense system, reporting that the Iranian missile successfully penetrated the Iron Dome.
“The missile launched by Iran was not intercepted,” Haaretz wrote, revealing the vulnerability of Israel’s much-touted defense shield.
Israeli media confirmed the missile impact and quoted the Israeli army as saying, “We have received reports regarding a missile strike in a location in the south.”
Following the attack, the Be’er Sheva train station was shut down due to damages sustained from the missile strike, according to Channel 12, quoting Israel Railways.
Reports also indicated the missile landed near a Microsoft building in the area, intensifying concerns over the scope of the strike.
Meanwhile, for the second time in a row, sirens were triggered in the Dead Sea region near the Jordan border, allegedly due to suspected drone infiltration.
The Zionist regime’s military claimed that it intercepted two drones attempting to enter what it calls Israeli airspace.
Despite these claims, repeated sirens across the Dead Sea region —previously activated due to reported drone intrusions— signal continued Iranian pressures.
