JERUSALEM, June 21 – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Saturday that its naval vessel struck a Hezbollah infrastructure site in Naqoura, southern Lebanon, overnight.
According to a statement issued by the IDF, the targeted infrastructure site was identified based on intelligence gathered by the Israeli Navy and Northern Command.
The intelligence was obtained, in part, from the interrogation of a Hezbollah operative a few weeks ago, it added.
The IDF claimed that Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force used the infrastructure site to advance attacks against Israel.
Earlier on Saturday, the IDF said that the Israeli air force killed a Hezbollah militant in the Baraachit municipality in southern Lebanon.
