TEHRAN – Expressing Iran’s determination to uphold its absolute right to enjoy nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, President Masoud Pezeshkian vowed that Iran will give crushing retaliatory responses to the Israeli regime’s aggression.
In a telephone conversation with his French counterpart on Saturday, President Pezeshkian said the Zionist regime has flagrantly violated all international rules by waging a war of aggression against Iran.
It is impossible to deprive the nations of the rights they have been entitled to under the international law through wars and threats, Pezeshkian stated.
Expressing Iran’s readiness for dialogue and cooperation to build confidence over its peaceful nuclear activities, the president said, “On the one hand, we will not approve of the nuclear activities being driven down to zero by any means, and on the other hand, our responses to the Zionist regime’s continued aggression will be more crushing and decisive.”
“Iran has always voiced readiness to give guarantees and build confidence about its peaceful nuclear activities within the framework of the international law, but at the same time emphasizes that it will never give up its inalienable rights in accordance with the international law to enjoy peaceful nuclear capabilities,” President Pezeshkian underlined.
He said the Israeli regime’s recent act of aggression proved that the plans to strengthen Iran’s defense power are not negotiable at all.
It is necessary to punish the Zionist regime in order to create, preserve and strengthen stability and security in the world, the Iranian president added.
The Zionist regime waged an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on June 13. It has carried out airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear, military and residential sites that resulted in the martyrdom of over 400 Iranians, including top military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary citizens.
