GAZA, July 18, 2025 – At least five Palestinians were killed and dozens injured on Friday as Israeli occupation forces opened live fire on aid seekers outside the U.S.-run aid distribution center on the outskirts of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, according to local sources and medical officials.
Witnesses reported that six civilians were shot dead and others wounded by Israeli gunfire near the aid distribution center north of Rafah, in southern Gaza. Eyewitnesses reported heavy firing as crowds gathered in hopes of receiving desperately needed humanitarian aid.
In a separate incident, four more people sustained injuries from Israeli fire near another aid center in central Gaza.
Meanwhile, in Gaza City, one civilian was killed following an Israeli airstrike on the Sha’af area in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, located in the eastern part of the city.
Medical sources confirmed that 25 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the early hours of Friday, including at least five people who were waiting for aid.
