GAZA CITY, Palestine/ANKARA – At least 82 Palestinians, including children and people fetching water, were killed Sunday in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting residential areas and displacement tents across the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
In the latest attack, six Palestinians were killed and dozens injured by several Israeli strikes on the Zeitoun and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods of Gaza City, medics said.
Five people were also killed and 25 others injured by Israeli strikes on tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in northern Gaza City and the southern city of Khan Younis.
Israeli shelling also targeted a civilian gathering in Gaza City, killing 11 people, including a child and a doctor. Over 50 others were injured, local health officials said.
In the northern Gaza Strip, six Palestinians were killed and others injured after an Israeli warplane bombed a house in the Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City.
Five others were killed and several more injured in a separate airstrike that hit a house on Hamid Street in western Gaza City.
Three more Palestinians were killed and four others injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a tent sheltering displaced people north of Gaza City.
In the Al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, a young girl and another person were killed, and several people were injured when Israeli forces bombed a family home near the Islamic Complex Mosque.
Children killed
In central Gaza, fighter jets hit a group of civilians in Al-Zawayda town, killing five people and injuring several others, a medical source said.
Israeli warplanes struck a family home in the Al-Sawarkah area west of Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing 10 people.
In a separate strike on a water distribution point in Nuseirat, 10 Palestinians, including six children, were killed and 16 others wounded.
In southern Gaza, Nasser Medical Complex medics confirmed the deaths of three people following an Israeli strike on a displacement tent in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis.
Another strike on a tent sheltering displaced families in Khan Younis killed a young girl and injured five people.
Twelve more people, including six children, were killed when Israeli forces bombed tents sheltering displaced families in al-Mawasi.
Three Palestinians were also shot and killed by Israeli forces while waiting for humanitarian aid west of Rafah in southern Gaza.
According to Palestinian figures, at least 833 people have been killed and 5,432 injured by Israeli army fire while waiting to get humanitarian aid since May 27.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces blew up several residential buildings in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, causing extensive destruction to nearby property.
